In both teaching and research I am committed to relating theological insights to the dilemmas and issues of modern life. My work thereby cuts across disciplinary boundaries and draws on political theory and philosophy as well as Christian theological traditions. I am the author of Theology, Ideology and Liberation (Cambridge University Press, 1994), A Political Theology of Nature (Cambridge University Press, 2003) and numerous articles, and am co-editor of the Blackwell Companion to Political Theology (2004). Furthermore, I am a member of the Center of Theological Inquiry (Princeton, USA).
